Modern cars rely on cameras, radar and sensors to help you stay in your lane, keep a safe following distance and see what's around you. These advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) only work properly when they're calibrated correctly. Adolph's Autohaus is a family-owned European repair shop in San Ramon, open since 1996, and we do ADAS calibration for all makes we service, including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Porsche, Audi and the other European brands we work on every day.
When ADAS Calibration Is Needed
Camera, radar and sensor calibration is often required after:
- Wheel alignments. Changing the vehicle's thrust angle can affect where cameras and radar are aimed.
- Suspension work. Changes to ride height or suspension geometry can throw sensors off.
- Bumper repairs. Radar and parking sensors often sit behind or in the bumpers.
- Sensor replacement. A new camera, radar unit or sensor must be calibrated to the car.
Systems We Calibrate
- Lane-keep assist and lane departure warning (forward camera)
- Adaptive cruise control (front radar)
- Blind spot monitoring (rear corner radar)
- Parking sensors and surround-view systems
Why Calibration Matters
A sensor that's off by a small amount can cause false warnings, a system that switches itself off, or a feature that reacts at the wrong moment. We use professional-grade diagnostic equipment to check and calibrate these systems, and we'll explain what we found.
Please note: we don't do windshield or glass replacement. We focus on mechanical repair, maintenance, diagnostics and calibration.
