Mercedes-Benz Repair & Service in San Ramon
A Mercedes-Benz is built for comfort and long life, but only if it's looked after properly. Since 1996, Adolph's Autohaus has been a family-run European repair shop in San Ramon. Mercedes-Benz is one of our two specialty makes, along with BMW. The shop is run by the family team: Nico and Spiro.
Service A, Service B and Scheduled Maintenance
Most Mercedes-Benz models from the last couple of decades use a maintenance reminder that alternates between Service A and Service B, with other items added at set intervals. Service A centers on an oil and filter change and a basic inspection. Service B adds more checks and items such as the cabin filter and brake fluid.
We follow your car's schedule. If your car calls for a spark plug, transmission fluid or coolant service, we'll let you know when it's due.
Common Mercedes-Benz Problems We Look For
- Air suspension (Airmatic). Many E-Class, S-Class, GL/GLS and other models use air suspension. A car that sits low after parking, or a compressor that runs too often, usually points to a leak or a worn component.
- Oil leaks. Valve cover gaskets, oil cooler seals and oil filter housings are common sources of seepage as the cars age.
- Transmission behavior. Harsh or delayed shifts, or a car stuck in "limp mode," should be scanned and diagnosed before anyone recommends a repair.
- Cooling system. Thermostats, water pumps, hoses and radiators wear with heat and time.
- Electrical faults. Mercedes-Benz models have many control modules. A warning light can come from a sensor, a wiring problem or a weak battery, so we test rather than guess.
- Brakes and wear sensors. Pads, rotors and wear sensors are normal wear items, and the brake fluid needs changing on schedule.
Why a Mercedes-Benz Specialist
Mercedes-Benz systems are complex, and the way they're designed matters when something goes wrong. Working on European cars every day means we know the usual trouble spots and how to test for them with professional-grade diagnostic equipment. That way you're paying for an accurate repair, not for a string of parts that didn't fix it.
We're also small enough to keep things personal. Our reviews often mention our family's honesty, and we'd like to keep it that way. We explain what we found, show you what matters, and tell you what can wait.
Mercedes-Benz Models We Work On
We work on Mercedes-Benz sedans, coupes and SUVs, including AMG models, the C-Class, E-Class and S-Class, the CLA and CLS, the GLA, GLC, GLE and GLS, the G-Class, and the Sprinter van. Older models and newer ones need different care, and we take that into account. If you're not sure about your model or year, give us a call before you book.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you do Mercedes-Benz Service A and Service B?
Yes. We perform Service A, Service B and the extra scheduled items your car calls for.
Why does my Mercedes sit low after it's parked overnight?
On cars with air suspension, that usually means air is leaking from a strut, line or valve, or the compressor is getting weak. We'll inspect the system and tell you which part is at fault.
Do you work on Mercedes-Benz SUVs as well as sedans?
Yes. We service Mercedes-Benz sedans, coupes and SUVs. Call with your year and model if you'd like to confirm before booking.
My Mercedes shifted hard and a warning came on. What should I do?
Avoid hard driving and have it scanned soon. Shifting faults can come from fluid, sensors, wiring or the transmission itself. A proper diagnosis comes first.
Will using an independent shop affect my Mercedes-Benz warranty?
Using an independent shop doesn't by itself void a manufacturer's warranty under federal law. Keep up with the schedule and keep your records.
